Macmillan Education, part of Springer Nature, has introduced a groundbreaking tool designed to help teachers worldwide navigate its vast catalog of educational courses and identify the best fit for their students. The new tool, called MAIA (Macmillan AI Assistant), was developed by Macmillan Education’s in-house team to streamline the course selection process by understanding the unique needs of each classroom.
MAIA works by asking teachers specific questions about their teaching context, such as the country they are based in, the age of their students, their goals regarding exam success, and the amount of project work they incorporate. Based on the responses, MAIA then matches teachers with courses that best align with their requirements and even offers an AI-guided tour of the product.
Since its launch, MAIA has already interacted with over 3,000 teachers globally, providing personalized recommendations and constantly improving based on user feedback. This tool complements the existing personalized support provided by Macmillan’s team of education consultants.
In the coming months, the service will expand to include localized educational solutions for Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Poland, and Spain, with multilingual support to enhance its global reach.
