Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, has announced an agreement with Plains Anthropological Society to publish the journal Plains Anthropologist from 2014.
Plains Anthropologist is the official quarterly journal of the Plains Anthropological Society (PAS). The journal publishes original papers on the anthropology of the Great Plains and adjacent areas of North America. The journal currently publishes contributions of a general nature and those concerned with other regions are considered as they may have theoretical importance or bear upon problems of humans in plains environments.
Maney will develop the journal to include online access so that subscribers and members will benefit from readily available content and a 10 year archive.
This publication will use Editorial Manager, the online system for article submission and peer-review, enabling contributors, reviewers and the editorial team to more easily track and respond to the progress of articles as they are assessed for publication. Papers will flow from the system through production and will be published online ahead of print. The journal's print presentation will be modernised and enhanced with colour illustrations.
