Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, has entered into an agreement to become the publisher of the Journal of Chemotherapy, starting immediately, with the first issue of the 2012, Volume 24, publishing in March. The journal is published under the auspices of La Società Italiana di Chemioterapia (the Italian Society of Chemotherapy).

The Journal of Chemotherapy is well known to researchers and clinical pharmacologists internationally; and will continue to publish on new cancer therapies and antibiotics as it has done over the last two decades.

The journal publishes experimental and clinical research articles, reviews, brief communications and letters in English on all aspects of antimicrobial, anticancer and immunomodulating chemotherapy, including: antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, and anticancer drugs. Authors will be able to submit their articles online via a new Online Submission and Refereeing System.

Authors may opt for an open access route for publication, but otherwise will no longer be charged a fee to publish. Maney will publish articles online ahead of print via its host platform ingentaconnect which will also include Journal of Chemotherapy issues dating back to 1999.

The journal is included in Medline, Scopus, and Thomson Reuters Web of Science. The Journal of Chemotherapy has a 2010 impact factor of 1.145.
