McGraw Hill has launched new GenAI-driven tools and expanded existing features across its K-12 programs to support instructional planning for educators and provide personalized writing assistance for students.
The company has introduced Teacher Assistant, a curriculum-embedded GenAI-powered chatbot that offers immediate guidance to help streamline lesson planning. Educators can use the tool to plan units, summarize lessons, adjust pacing, and locate program-specific resources to inform instructional decisions for diverse student needs. The tool is currently available within the California Reveal Math curriculum, with broader national availability and integration into additional math and literacy programs scheduled for next year. Upcoming enhancements will allow Teacher Assistant to support educators in interpreting student data and making informed instructional adjustments.
Writing Assistant, a GenAI tool for grades 6–12, has also been expanded nationwide following an earlier limited rollout in fall 2024. The tool provides on-demand writing support that helps students break down assignments, revise their work, and improve writing skills through structured guidance aligned with each program’s texts and scoring rubrics. It is now available within McGraw Hill’s Actively Learn and Achieve3000 Literacy programs and is planned for inclusion in future K-12 literacy offerings. The tool is designed to optimize instructional time by streamlining teacher feedback and reducing administrative workload.
Insights drawn from internal evaluations indicate that these tools are intended to incorporate AI responsibly by integrating them directly into established digital learning solutions and aligning them with trusted content and data. According to a recent survey of K-12 teachers and administrators commissioned by McGraw Hill and conducted by Morning Consult, the company was ranked as the education provider using AI most effectively within its products.
