Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) to manage article submissions and peer review with NESTOR -

EDP Sciences has announced that the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (MNHN) has chosen NESTOR to manage article submission and peer review for five scientific journals.

NESTOR (New Editorial System Tool for Research) is a submission system developed and launched by EDP Sciences in 2020, the first to fully integrate video submissions via Cadmore Media. Several journals have already placed their trust in NESTOR.

Under the direction of Laurence Bénichou, Head of Scientific Publications, the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle publishes 10 peer-reviewed journals in diamond open access. The journals Adansonia, Cryptogamie Mycologie, Cryptogamie Bryologie, Cryptogamie Algologie, and Geodiversitas will benefit NESTOR's ease of use and latest features.

The introduction of NESTOR has already saved the journals' editorial offices time in relation to various administrative tasks. In addition to NESTOR’s ease of use, the Museum reports that they chose EDP Sciences for transparent pricing, no hidden costs, and the ability to manage large files (more than one gigabyte). The editors also appreciate the availability of the EDP Sciences team and its efficiency in solving the various problems encountered during the adaptation of this new and constantly improving tool. NESTOR will be rolled out to the remaining MNHN journals in due course.
