Information services provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services has awarded the company a five-year contract to provide a healthcare reporting and analytics system.
The system will enable the State of North Carolina to better manage all of its health programmes. These include Medicaid, North Carolina Health Choice, Community Care of North Carolina, Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse and Public Health. It will contain data on about 1.8 million beneficiaries.
The project includes implementation of a customised data warehouse on the Oracle Exadata database platform utilising SAS business intelligence tools and Advantage Suite. Advantage Suite is a Thomson Reuters solution that combines a customised repository of healthcare data with a comprehensive set of analytic tools.
Thomson Reuters has been providing reporting and analytics solutions to state and federal healthcare agencies. The company supports more than 27 state Medicaid agencies and other government programmes.
