The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and the ORCID-CA Consortium have announced that the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has joined ORCID-CA as a member.
As part of the federal Health Portfolio, the Public Health Agency of Canada’s mandate is to promote health, prevent and control disease and injuries, prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, strengthen collaboration on public health policy and planning, and apply international research and development to Canada’s public health programs. Along with its commitment to Open Science, PHAC’s goal is to serve as a central point for sharing Canada’s expertise with the world.
To advance its Open Science goals and to better share PHAC’s public health expertise, PHAC has joined the ORCID-CA Consortium along with Canada’s leading universities, research organizations, funders and government agencies to adopt best practices in scientific communication and research workflow management.
Membership in the ORCID-CA Consortium will provide PHAC with access to dedicated bilingual support, resources and tools, participation in the ORCID-CA community of practice, premium API credentials, and much more.
