Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced its new partnership with the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Beginning in 2015, OUP and ASAPS will work together to publish Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ).
ASJ is an official publication of ASAPS and the official English-language journal of more than a dozen major international societies of cosmetic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery. It is the most widely read clinical journal in the field of cosmetic surgery, with subscribers in more than 80 countries. ASJ offers readers the latest case series, technique, bench research, and review articles focused solely on cosmetic surgery; it is a 'one stop shop' for education, information, and creative operative techniques in the areas that relate most to clinical practices.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, founded in 1967, is the leading professional organization of plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who specialize in cosmetic plastic surgery. With over 2,600 members in the U.S., Canada, and many other countries, ASAPS is at the forefront of innovation in aesthetic plastic surgery around the world. The mission of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery includes medical education, public education and patient advocacy.
