Scientific information services provider FIZ Karlsruhe, Germany, has announced that Oxford University Press (OUP) is now available as a new FIZ AutoDoc document supplier for the pay-per-view option. Articles from over 200 e-journals of OUP can now be ordered and downloaded immediately via FIZ AutoDoc.
If an ordered document is electronically available on OUP's server, the corresponding link is generated. In this case, the original document may be purchased directly from OUP in plain PDF-format using the 'Purchase Now' button. Benefits of FIZ AutoDoc's pay-per-view option reportedly include immediate availability of the document; best publisher quality; plain PDF format; and lower price than via classic document suppliers.
FIZ AutoDoc claims to be the document delivery system of choice for many of Europe's largest corporations, supporting unmediated and mediated ordering for single journal articles, patent documents, reports, conference papers, proceedings or other publications. It currently provides immediate download options for journal articles from more than 4,500 e-journals. Apart from OUP, other scientific publishers for which journal articles are offered via the FIZ AutoDoc pay-per-view option are ACS, Elsevier, Future Science Group, Karger, Springer and Thieme.
OUP, a department of the University of Oxford, claims to be the world's largest international university press. Oxford Journals, a division of OUP, publishes over 230 journals covering a broad range of subject areas, two-thirds of which are published in collaboration with learned societies and other international organisations. The collection titles include Nucleic Acids Research, the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Brain, Human Reproduction, English Historical Review and the Review of Financial Studies.
