Oxford University Press (OUP) and the Geological Society of London have joined Get Full Text Research (GetFTR), an innovative platform aimed at enhancing the research journey for scholars worldwide. GetFTR facilitates seamless access to the latest published content to which researchers are entitled through their institutional subscriptions. In addition, it provides access to up-to-date open content, including open articles in hybrid journals.
OUP, renowned for its prestigious books and journals, will incorporate both content types into the GetFTR service. To ensure that readers are directed to the appropriate content, OUP urges all discovery services utilizing GetFTR to conduct entitlement checks for books and journals alike. This collaboration with GetFTR is part of OUP's ongoing commitment to improving the research experience for its global readership.
The Geological Society of London, benefiting from GetFTR's Free Tier service, which exempts subscription fees for publishers with fewer than 40,000 DOIs registered with Crossref and working with platform providers such as Atypon, Silverchair, or PubFactory, is another new addition to the GetFTR network.
The partnership between GetFTR, OUP, and the Geological Society of London underscores the commitment to facilitating efficient access to scholarly content and advancing the research experience for academics worldwide.
