Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced its continuing support of the MathJax™ project. OUP has been a supporter of MathJax™ since 2013, which provides the academic community with a seamless user-experience when viewing mathematical equations across digital products.
OUP is committed to investing in the latest digital technologies in order to fulfil its mission to disseminate the highest quality scholarly research to the widest possible audience.
At the core of the MathJax™ project is its use of open source technology to ensure the highest quality display of mathematics notation across all browsers. Universally accessible through its interaction with other applications and math-aware search functionality, it also supports key equation markup technologies such as LaTeX and MathML in order to deliver an optimised user experience both for our authors and readers.
OUP, a department of the University of Oxford, claims to be the largest university press in the world. It currently publishes over 6,000 titles in more than 40 languages each year. OUP's broad academic and educational spectrum includes dictionaries, journals, scholarly monographs, and schoolbooks. Beyond traditional publishing products, OUP provides services such as digital learning and assessment platforms as well as online research tools.
