Oxford University Press announces strategic technology change -

Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced changes to its technology operations including a strategic relationship with Cognizant Technology Solutions, a leading global provider of information technology, consulting, and business process services.

The work with Cognizant is one of a series of organizational changes being implemented within OUP's technology function as part of its rapid evolution towards becoming a more digital business.

With a global team of educational technology and business experts, the services Cognizant will provide include a global service desk, infrastructure and network management, application management, platforms management, testing, and service management.

According to Nigel Portwood, CEO Oxford University Press, this is an important step in reshaping the organisation to achieve future success against the Press' educational and scholarly mission, which is focused on positively influencing the lives of researchers and learners worldwide.
