Oxford University Press set to publish Poultry Science Association journals -

Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced its partnership with the Poultry Science Association (PSA) to exclusively publish their two journals, Poultry Science (PS) and The Journal of Applied Poultry Research (JAPR).

First self-published in 1921, Poultry Science is an internationally renowned monthly journal, known as the authoritative source for a broad range of poultry information and high-calibre research. The Journal of Applied Poultry Research is a quarterly journal that provides practical, reliable, and timely information to those whose livelihood is derived from the commercial production of poultry.

These journals play a pivotal role in the dissemination of pre-eminent poultry-related knowledge across all disciplines, making PS and JAPR indispensable resources for any library or scholar of poultry science.

PS features original research papers, symposium papers, and reviews of science as applied to poultry. Based upon Impact Factor, PS is the highest ranked journal dedicated to publishing poultry research. JAPR encourages scientific approaches to practical problem solving through the publishing of research reports, field reports, and reviews. Subject areas for both journals include, but are not limited to: metabolism and nutrition, physiology, immunology, genetics, health and well-being, microbiology, food safety, welfare, environment, processing and production. These journals will join Oxford Journals' strong collection of life science journals.

OUP will distribute PS and JAPR beginning in 2014.
