Pathway Genomics to feature Harvard health content in genetic test reports -

Pathway Genomics, a privately held, venture-backed company, has announced an agreement with StayWell Consumer Health Publishing to feature a suite of consumer health information in Pathway’s Genetic Health Reports. Content developed by Harvard Medical School and Harvard Health Publications will be added to provide Pathway customers with access to information about many aspects of a medical condition. These include symptoms, diagnosis, expected duration, prevention and treatment options. The content is projected to represent the expertise of 8,000 Harvard faculty physicians and world-renowned affiliated hospitals.

The Pathway Genomics Genetic Health Report currently reports on more than 70 health conditions, including an individual’s propensity for disease, carrier status and drug response. For each complex disease reported, customers can access additional information about the condition.

Pathway Genomics offers both genetic health and ancestry reports. Using customised DNA genetic testing technologies, it claims to generate personalised reports about an individual’s carrier status, pharmacogenomics (drug response), propensity for complex disease and ancestral history. Pathway Genomics has both federal CLIA and California state licences for its wholly owned and operated onsite laboratory.
