Pensoft, ARPHA, and Reviewer Credits launch partnership to strengthen transparency and recognition in peer review -

Pensoft, together with its publishing platform ARPHA, has announced a partnership with Reviewer Credits aimed at improving the transparency, documentation, and acknowledgment of peer review activity across the scholarly community.

Reviewers who create a free account on Reviewer Credits will have their peer review work automatically recorded, formally certified, and made eligible for rewards and recognition within the platform. The system allows reviewers to register any peer reviews they have completed, while reviews performed for journals collaborating with Reviewer Credits qualify for additional redeemable credits.

The collaboration highlights a shared view that peer reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of academic publishing and that their contributions have historically received limited visibility. The partnership is presented as a measure designed to increase acknowledgment of reviewer efforts, strengthen transparency in editorial processes, and broaden participation in peer review by making recognition more accessible to researchers at different career stages.
