Phytologia Balcanica, an international journal in plant sciences, has joined the ARPHA publishing platform to strengthen its publishing infrastructure and extend its global reach. The journal is published by the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research (IBER) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The integration will enhance discoverability and streamline the publishing process through ARPHA’s end-to-end system, which enables research to be easily accessed, cited, and reused. The journal operates on a white-label Diamond Open Access model supported by IBER, ensuring that all articles are freely available without publication charges.
Phytologia Balcanica publishes research across taxonomy, floristics, evolution, ecology, palaeobotany, plant anatomy, phytochemistry, and related fields. The journal’s editorial team is led by Professor Dimiter Ivanov of IBER.
ARPHA, developed by Pensoft, provides a full publishing solution designed to improve accessibility and transparency in scientific publishing. The first articles published under the new system are now available on the journal’s website.
