The collaboration aims to strengthen early-career engagement with Open Science practices and ensure equitable participation in global research ecosystems.
The Global Young Academy, based in Halle, Germany, unites young scientists across disciplines and regions to advocate for open and responsible research. The organization’s Open Science working group will collaborate with PLOS to develop initiatives that enhance transparency and accessibility in scholarly communication.
Both organizations intend to engage stakeholders across the scholarly ecosystem to increase the adoption of Open Access and Open Science. The partnership reinforces the shared commitment to fostering openness and inclusion within global research communities.
