University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) has announced that its faculty, staff and students will gain access to Elsevier’s Science Direct Freedom Collection via Polk Library. Ron Hardy, the library’s head of information resources, negotiated the agreement with STM publisher Elsevier.
The collection provides the full text of more than 1,700 journals from 2006 to the present. This includes titles such as Matrix Biology, Leadership Quarterly and Clinical Simulation in Nursing. Science Direct was reportedly the single-most requested resource by UWO faculty members.
Science Direct is accessible via a drop-down menu from a list of search tools found on the library’s home page at www.uwosh.edu/library.
