Digital content services provider Ingram Digital, US, has announced that it has been selected by Princeton University Press to enable the publisher's digital strategy. Ingram Digital will provide a comprehensive roster of services to the Press ranging from file digitisation and format conversion to digital asset management, distribution, and e-book fulfillment.
Princeton University Press will initially manage more than 500 front and backlist titles on Ingram Digital's CoreSource platform. The Press expects to add more than 100 frontlist titles in subsequent years. CoreSource is designed to ensure that digital content is properly archived, file integrity protected, and versions controlled. The platform will function as an e-content hub from which the publisher will control the delivery of digital files, metadata, and associated promotional materials.
In addition, Ingram Digital will work with Princeton University Press to ensure file formats meet delivery requirements, enabling the publisher to leverage opportunities across a wide variety of sales channels. The Press will also utilise Ingram Digital's content syndication and e-book fulfillment services, as well as the Search and Discover suite designed to help customers find and sample content on the web.
