ProQuest, Dow Jones extend distribution agreement -

ProQuest, a Cambridge Information Group company, has announced that it has extended its exclusive distribution agreement with Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group for an additional three years. Under the new deal, ProQuest will continue to provide the latest news and business information from Dow Jones Factiva to academic and public libraries worldwide.

Dow Jones Factiva provides centralised access to what many librarians feel are indispensable sources of information. Its online interface, Factiva.com, combines more than 17,000 sources of news from 159 countries and in 22 languages. This broad range of content provides both local insight and global perspective on business issues. Dow Jones Factiva complements such acclaimed ProQuest information products as ABI/INFORM - a suite of business databases in use in the top business schools throughout the world.

Since 1997, ProQuest has partnered with Dow Jones, allowing the news provider to reach academic and public libraries. In 2005, the collaboration expanded to include global distribution of Factiva.com, for the academic market and public libraries. In 2006, the agreement expanded further to include distribution to corporate and government sectors in Latin America. Now, ProQuest and Dow Jones renew their commitment through 2011.
