ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and CABI, an international, intergovernmental, not-for-profit scientific research and publishing organization, have announced a new partnership aimed at enhancing the visibility of CABI’s research journals. This collaboration will leverage ResearchGate’s innovative Journal Home offering, making CABI the first intergovernmental organization (IGO) partner publisher on the platform.
The partnership includes three of CABI’s prominent journals: CABI One Health (open access), CABI Reviews (hybrid), and Human-Animal Interactions (open access). CABI is renowned for publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that address global agricultural and environmental issues, as well as applied life sciences. The published research provides validated, evidence-based information to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Through this partnership, the version-of-record from these three CABI journals, including both archive content and new articles, will be made available on ResearchGate. This move will significantly increase the reach and readership of these journals among ResearchGate’s community of 26 million researcher members.
Journal Home will also enhance brand visibility for the CABI journals. Dedicated journal profiles will be created on the ResearchGate platform and prominently featured on all associated articles and relevant touchpoints throughout the network. These profiles will provide key information and content from the journals, supporting both readers and potential authors. ResearchGate members will be able to explore how their network is connected to a journal, further fostering collaboration and engagement.
For CABI authors, this partnership offers a unique opportunity. Their articles will be automatically uploaded to their ResearchGate profiles, allowing them to gain insights into who is reading their work and to connect with their readers. This feature is particularly valuable for authors working in fields that bridge practitioners and scientists, enabling them to understand and enhance the impact of their research.
