ResearchGate and De Gruyter Brill have announced an expansion of their Journal Home partnership to cover 100 journals across the publisher’s combined portfolio, including open access, subscription, and hybrid titles. The agreement also extends the Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU) to all participating journals and introduces the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU).
Under the partnership, journal content will be automatically uploaded to ResearchGate and integrated into the platform’s Journal Home features. These include dedicated journal profiles, visibility of journal communities, and enhanced branding. Newly published articles will be made available to ResearchGate’s network of more than 25 million researchers.
The expansion builds on the partnership announced in 2025, which had increased visibility, readership, and authorship for participating journals. By extending the OAAU, eligible researchers will continue to be informed of institutional open access funding available through De Gruyter Brill’s agreements, supporting broader participation in open access publishing across both STM and humanities disciplines.
The CEU provides editors and journal teams with new tools to strengthen engagement. Features include demographic insights into journal communities, targeted distribution of highlighted articles through “Editor Picks,” and enhanced tools to activate networks and spotlight key research.
