ResearchGate and IUCr announce strategic partnership to enhance access and visibility for crystallographic research -

ResearchGate, the leading professional network for researchers, and the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), an esteemed International Scientific Union dedicated to advancing crystallographic research, have announced a new partnership aimed at enhancing the readership and authorship of IUCr's comprehensive journal portfolio through ResearchGate’s Journal Home platform.

This landmark agreement encompasses all 10 of IUCr’s journals, which include both fully open access and hybrid open access titles. The collaboration will make the version-of-record of all content published since 2000, along with newly published articles, available on ResearchGate. This encompasses approximately 80,000 articles, significantly boosting the visibility and accessibility of structural science research.

Through the Journal Home platform, IUCr’s journals will benefit from enhanced global brand visibility on ResearchGate, increasing discoverability and accessibility for researchers worldwide. Dedicated journal profiles on ResearchGate will provide key information and content, enabling researchers to explore the connection between their community and the journals. Journal branding will be prominently featured on all associated article pages and other relevant touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and recognizable presence on the platform.

Additionally, authors who publish in IUCr journals will have their articles automatically added to their ResearchGate profiles. This integration provides authors with valuable insights into who is reading and citing their work, fostering deeper engagement and understanding within the research community.

Key Benefits of the Partnership Include:

• Increased Visibility: The partnership ensures that IUCr’s high-quality research is more easily discoverable by a global audience, enhancing the visibility of crystallographic research.

• Enhanced Accessibility: ResearchGate members entitled to access subscription content will find it easier to access IUCr’s extensive journal portfolio.

• Improved Author Experience: Automatic addition of articles to authors' ResearchGate profiles offers seamless integration, providing authors with valuable insights into their readership and citation metrics.

• Comprehensive Coverage: The partnership covers all IUCr’s 10 journals, making a vast repository of crystallographic research accessible on a single platform.

This collaboration underscores ResearchGate's commitment to supporting the global research community by providing innovative solutions that enhance the accessibility and visibility of scientific research. It also aligns with IUCr's mission to promote and advance crystallographic research on an international scale.
