ResearchGate and IWA Publishing expand Journal Home partnership to enhance research visibility -

ResearchGate and IWA Publishing have announced an expansion of their Journal Home partnership, aimed at increasing the visibility and discoverability of water research. The collaboration also helps eligible researchers identify opportunities to publish article processing charge (APC)‑free Open Access through institutional agreements with IWA Publishing.

The expanded partnership builds on the first year of collaboration, extending the reach of IWA Publishing’s content across ResearchGate’s global community of more than 25 million researchers. It provides IWA Publishing with greater insight into how researchers discover and engage with journal content, strengthening connections with authors and readers while supporting accessibility and impact.

Andrew Thompson, Head of Marketing at IWA Publishing, explained that the partnership is intended to make publishing with IWA more straightforward while increasing journal visibility and helping researchers identify APC‑free Open Access opportunities through their institutions.

Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate, noted that the agreement supports IWA Publishing’s mission to advance water management research globally. She added that activating Journal Home’s full suite of features, including the Community Engagement Upgrade, will provide editorial teams with insights to connect with appropriate readers and authors, thereby strengthening engagement across the network.

The organizations emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving discoverability, accessibility, and responsible dissemination of water research.
