ResearchGate and IWA Publishing have introduced a Journal Home pilot designed to support high-quality authorship and readership across 12 water research and environmental science journals in the IWA Publishing portfolio. The initiative aligns with IWA Publishing’s mission to deliver insights and promote sustainable water management for researchers and communities worldwide.
Through the pilot, all open version-of-record articles from participating journals will be available to ResearchGate’s network of more than 25 million researchers, increasing visibility, discoverability, and engagement. The collaboration includes contextual communication tools that connect content with relevant researchers throughout the research cycle to strengthen authorship and article usage.
Dedicated Journal Profiles, including those for Water Science & Technology, Water Reuse, and Journal of Water & Climate Change, will offer enhanced exploration of connections between authors and journals. Additional services include automatic article uploads to member profiles, impact metrics to help authors understand readership reach, and platform features that promote meaningful engagement with IWA Publishing content.
Executive commentary emphasizes the opportunity to broaden international readership and increase usage of IWA Publishing journals through Journal Home’s accessibility, network reach, and targeted communication features.
