ResearchGate and Maximum Academic Press (MAP) have expanded their strategic Journal Home partnership, extending the existing agreement to include three additional journals: Grass Research, Medicinal Plant Biology, and Technology in Horticulture.
During the first year of participation in Journal Home, MAP journals recorded growth in international readership. This increase in visibility across the global research community created opportunities to engage new researchers and strengthen authorship for MAP’s gold open access program.
With access to ResearchGate’s network of more than 25 million researcher members, MAP’s expanded portfolio will benefit from the full range of Journal Home features. These include:
• Article usage and discoverability: Immediate availability of MAP’s latest research to relevant audiences.
• Community engagement: Support for ongoing submissions and attraction of new authors.
• Journal identity: Custom Journal Profiles that strengthen recognition and scholarly positioning.
• Author services: Integration into researcher workflows, enhanced insights, and collaboration opportunities.
Professor Zong‑Ming (Max) Cheng, Chief Editor and founder of MAP, stated that Journal Home had provided new routes to readers and communities. He explained that the strong performance of the initial collaboration encouraged MAP to extend these benefits to additional journals to support their development priorities.
Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate, noted that the success of the initial partnership demonstrated the value of Journal Home in helping journals grow readership, reputation, and author base. She emphasized that ResearchGate would continue to support MAP’s commitment to open science and contribute to its publishing growth.
