ResearchGate and MJS Publishing have announced a new Journal Home partnership designed to expand the international reach and discoverability of society-owned open access medical journals.
The agreement will bring the majority of MJS Publishing’s journal portfolio onto ResearchGate’s Journal Home platform, enabling the journals to connect with a global research community of more than 25 million researchers using the ResearchGate network.
MJS Publishing was established in 2021 through collaboration between the Society for the Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica and the Foundation of Rehabilitation Information. The publisher focuses exclusively on society-owned open access medical journals.
Through the partnership, journals published by MJS will gain increased exposure across multiple medical disciplines including dermatology, orthopaedics, dentistry, oral health rehabilitation, plastic and hand surgery, and urology.
The Journal Home integration is expected to expand readership and usage by delivering full-text open access content directly to relevant researcher communities on the ResearchGate platform. The initiative will also support growth in authorship by connecting society journals with researchers interested in publishing within these disciplines.
Additional benefits include dedicated journal profiles designed to improve visibility and recognition of the participating journals within the global research ecosystem. The platform will also automatically link newly published articles to author profiles, providing clearer indicators of how research outputs are being read, shared and cited.
The collaboration aims to strengthen engagement between journals, authors and readers while supporting broader dissemination of medical research through ResearchGate’s global research network.
