ResearchGate and Taylor & Francis expand Journal Home partnership -

ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and academic publishing giant Taylor & Francis have announced a significant expansion of their Journal Home partnership. This development will now include journals from the newly acquired open access publisher PeerJ, as well as an additional portfolio of cutting-edge biomedical titles.

The expansion brings 18 more journals to the Journal Home platform, adding to the 400+ Taylor & Francis journals already available. Notably, 16 of the new journals, such as BioTechniques and Future Oncology, joined Taylor & Francis as part of the Expert Medicine collection in December 2023. In addition, two prominent PeerJ titles, PeerJ Life & Environment and PeerJ Computer Science, will now be available on ResearchGate, furthering Taylor & Francis’ reach into broad-scope, interdisciplinary research.

This move reflects Taylor & Francis' recognition of the impact that increased journal discoverability through Journal Home has on both readership and authorship. Journals participating in the platform benefit from full-text article syndication to ResearchGate's 25 million members, with prominent branding on article pages that significantly boosts visibility. Dedicated journal profiles allow researchers to discover and explore new content while connecting with relevant research within their networks, increasing engagement with these titles.

For journal teams, the platform offers valuable insights into how researchers are interacting with their content, helping them understand how awareness translates into readership and potential authorship. This helps foster deeper engagement with the research community, driving both submissions and citations.

Authors also benefit from the enhanced integration, as their articles are automatically added to their ResearchGate profiles upon publication. Additionally, they can access platform analytics to track who is reading and citing their work, offering an efficient way to engage with the wider academic community.

The expanded Journal Home partnership reinforces the commitment of both ResearchGate and Taylor & Francis to improving access to scientific literature and facilitating meaningful connections within the global research community.
