ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Taylor & Francis have announced an additional two-year expansion of their strategic Journal Home partnership. Under the renewed agreement, Journal Home now covers 800 journals across the Taylor & Francis portfolio.
The updated partnership also includes the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU), which connects researchers to key content in journals serving their communities, and the Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU), which makes it easier for authors to identify open access (OA) funding opportunities available through Taylor & Francis open access agreements.
The expanded partnership provides Taylor & Francis journal teams with additional tools intended to strengthen engagement with relevant researcher communities, support strategic journal development, and accelerate dissemination across the portfolio.
Since 2023, Taylor & Francis reports that its partnership with ResearchGate has contributed to sustained growth in international readership and increased author participation from ResearchGate’s global community of more than 25 million researcher members.
With the addition of the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU) and the expanded activation of the Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU), Journal Home now supports a broader range of journal development priorities, including commissioning, editor-led community building, and clearer communication of funding available to authors.
The expanded partnership will:
• Deepen engagement between researchers and journal editors through the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU), with new tools designed to help editors better understand journal communities and communicate more effectively with readers through features such as Editor Picks.
• Increase uptake of open access publishing through the Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU), with authors receiving timely, personalized notifications regarding open access agreements and eligibility to publish in Taylor & Francis journals.
• Make it easier for researchers to find and explore journals and research articles through dedicated Journal Profiles, prominent journal branding, and automatic sharing of content across ResearchGate.
The expanded Journal Home partnership includes additional features intended to support researcher–editor engagement, improve communication with journal communities, and increase author awareness of open access funding eligibility.
