RLUK (Research Libraries UK) has announced the signing of a new collaboration agreement with The National Archives for the period 2024-2027. This agreement continues the fruitful partnership established under the previous Memorandum of Understanding and underscores the shared commitment to cross-sector collaboration, innovation, and workforce development.
The collaboration aims to explore new ways to engage audiences with the extensive collections and services of both organizations. Since 2014, RLUK and The National Archives have worked together on several strategic areas of common interest and values.
One of the key initiatives resulting from this collaboration is the DCDC Conference series, which RLUK co-organized with The National Archives from 2013 to 2022. This conference has been instrumental in fostering dialogue and cooperation between the academic, library, and cultural heritage sectors.
Additionally, the TNA-RLUK Professional Fellowship Scheme has enabled staff from both organizations to share experiences and insights, addressing collective challenges facing research and cultural organizations. This scheme continues to be a cornerstone of the collaboration, promoting professional development and innovation.
The new collaboration agreement between RLUK and The National Archives is set to foster continued innovation and engagement, ensuring that both organizations remain at the forefront of research, cultural heritage, and public engagement.
