Royal College of Physicians partners with HighWire to build and host its journal, Clinical Medicine -

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has announced a new partnership with HighWire Press to build and host its flagship, peer reviewed journal, Clinical Medicine.

Advanced features on the HighWire ePublishing platform, which include seamless cross-linking between articles and journals, increased user engagement, customisable email alerts, user-friendly browsing tools, improved visibility and reach, will enable readers of the journal to get the most out of the limited time they have available for reading.

HighWire's refined reporting features and the mobile and mini-site options that are an integral part of HighWire's Open Platform, were also on the RCP's radar as they considered their future direction.

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) aims to ensure high-quality care for patients by promoting the highest standards of medical practice. It provides and sets standards in clinical practice and education and training, conducts assessments and examinations, assures quality through external audit programmes, supports doctors in their practice of medicine, and advises the government, public and the profession on healthcare issues. Founded in 1518, the RCP now has over 26,000 members in the UK and across the world.
