Royal Society of Chemistry and IChemE launch new molecular engineering journal -

The Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) have announced a collaboration to launch a new interdisciplinary journal - Molecular Systems Design and Engineering.

The journal, the first in its field, will focus on understanding molecular properties, behaviour and interactions, and how this can be applied to the design of processes, to solve global technological problems. It will bring together selected disciplines in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computational and materials science.

Molecular Systems Design and Engineering will be free to access for the first two years of publication in 2016 and 2017, and will be led by Professor Juan de Pablo, based at the Institute of Molecular Engineering in Chicago, USA. He will head up an expert team of researchers in the field and is calling for submissions from academics across the world.

Journal access is free on registration and the first issue is scheduled for 2016.
