The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has announced that its journal Radiology has been awarded the highest rating from the Australian Research Council.
The journal ranking tool is part of the Council's mission to assess research quality within Australia's higher education institutions. Experts evaluated 20,712 peer-reviewed journals, assigning >Radiology the highest quality tier ‘one of the best in its field.’ Journals were assigned one of four tiers including: A* - One of the best in its field, A - Very high quality, B - Solid, though not outstanding reputation, C - Journals that do not meet the criteria of the higher tiers.
Published regularly since 1923, Radiology publishes current, clinically relevant, and highest quality research in the field of radiology. Each month the journal publishes about 300 pages of peer-reviewed original research, authoritative reviews, well-balanced commentary on significant articles, and expert opinion on new techniques and technologies.
