STM publisher Elsevier has reached an agreement with Russia's Ministry of Education and Science to provide access to SciVal Strata for the assessment of Russia's Research Performance. Access to SciVal Strata, a performance benchmarking tool within Elsevier's SciVal suite of research management solutions, builds on the Russian Government's previously granted access to Elsevier's SciVal Spotlight and Scopus.
Early 2013 the Russian Government launched a national research assessment program with the aim of identifying key areas for future investments in its research and development sector. With access to SciVal Strata, the experts at Russia's Federal Research and Consulting Center of Expertise, who are involved in the national research assessment, will be able to analyse the productivity of Russian scientists and research groups. These assessments will help the Ministry to effectively support the most fruitful researchers and research groups and stimulate new collaborations.
Built on Elsevier's 130-year heritage in the world of research, SciVal helps institutions make more informed decisions to drive research outcomes. Serving research institutions, funders and policy makers, the company's objective data and trusted solutions enable organisations to build their portfolios, optimise funding flows, assemble collaborative partnerships and manage research activities. Elsevier integrates institutional and external data sources with information from Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database, to provide innovative solutions including Pure, SciVal Experts, SciVal Funding, SciVal Spotlight, SciVal Strata and SciVal Analytics.
