South African electronic publication aggregator, Sabinet, has signed an agreement with Publishing Technology to launch an online platform on its packaged web solution, ingentaDrive.
Under the deal, Sabinet will now host its major journal service, the Sabinet African ePublications (SA ePublications), on ingentaDrive, an out-of-the-box product launched by Publishing Technology in September 2015.
Combining essential features of Publishing Technology's bespoke build platform product with the speed and efficiency of a packaged solution, ingentaDrive will enable Sabinet to quickly go live with a fully branded, cloud-based, responsive site. The new portal will provide consistent user experience across multiple devices while enabling Sabinet to control its online content with ease using powerful and extensive content management tools.
SA ePublications is the most comprehensive, searchable collection of full-text academic articles from South African and African Journals. Enhancing this service is the inclusion of the African Journal Archive, a retrospective open access journal service that preserves and makes available African journal literature.
With almost 500 African journals covering disciplines such as agriculture, botany, zoology, history, law, education, politics, medicine and geology, this collection is one of the largest sets of full-text African content available on a single platform.
