The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International, US, has announced a partnership with STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands. Under the deal, both organisations will together deliver extensive automotive and aerospace & defence engineering information to better serve the information needs of industrial, research and academic communities worldwide.
Engineers and researchers will now be able to access SAE International’s more than 20,000 technical papers written between 1906 and 1979, as well as the Society’s entire library of 88,000 documents utilising subject-specific indexing and contextualised searching via Elsevier’s online solutions Scopus and Compendex on Engineering Village. Engineers and researchers can now search and retrieve SAE’s content in context of other publishers, especially in interdisciplinary contexts, such as O&G (including biofuels, fuel cells, alternative energy), plastics, aerospace, electronics, transportation, HVAC, physics and lubricants.
SAE International is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries. Its competencies are life-long learning and voluntary consensus standards development.
