SAE International to sell three Artech publications under Content Partnership Program -

Engineers and technical experts association SAE International, US, has announced a strategic partnership with technical book publisher Artech House to sell selected Artech publications. The three titles that will be made available on SAE International’s online bookstore include From Engineer to Manager: Mastering the Transition, Battery Management Systems for Large Lithium-Ion Battery Packs and Autonomous Ground Vehicles.

From Engineer to Manager: Mastering the Transition teaches how to internalise the attitudes and master the associated skills needed to excel in, and be satisfied with, the transition to management. It covers how to communicate more effectively and improve relationships with colleagues, improve use of time, resulting primarily from learning and practicing a number of ‘soft’ skills which flow from developing the necessary attitudes for management.

Battery Management Systems for Large Lithium-Ion Battery Packs provides a understanding of battery management systems (BMS) in large Li-Ion battery packs, describing the important technical challenges in this field and exploring the most effective solutions.

Autonomous technology in ground vehicles afford drivers capabilities like intersection collision warning, lane change warning, backup parking, parallel parking aids and bus precision parking. Providing a practical understanding of this technology area, Autonomous Ground Vehicles focuses on basic autonomous control and feedback for stopping and steering ground vehicles.

The agreement is part of SAE International’s new Content Partnership Program, which seeks to expand its publishing initiatives. It includes the resale of premium content from sources such as commercial publishers, think tanks and research-driven corporations, co-publishing opportunities, recruiting new authors with expertise in the latest technologies, and acquiring exclusive magazine and newsletter content.
