Education publisher SAGE and the British Educational Research Association (BERA) have announced a co-publishing agreement for a new list of titles. The series of books, which is provisionally entitled Research Methods in Education, will be edited by BERA and aimed at a multi-level market.
The titles aim to help readers progress from beginner to advanced researcher using a blend of theory and practice, with an approachable and accessible style. Titles in the series are yet to be confirmed, but are likely to include Qualitative Methods in Education Research and Quantitative Methods in Education Research. Some of the titles under the ‘approaches to research in education’ topic include Case Study Methods in Education Research, Action Research and Ethnographic Research in Education. ‘Research in context’ titles include Doing Research with Children and Young People and Doing Research in Education.
The deal is projected to help BERA boost its presence in the educational research market. The new series is expected to be of interest to a wide readership and help improve the understanding of educational research, its theory, practice and impact. Proposals are now invited for the series and full information is available from www.sagepub.co.uk/bera and on the BERA website at www.bera.ac.uk.
