Academic publisher SAGE has signed an agreement with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) that will widen access to its two journals - Building Services Engineering Research and Technology Journal (BSER&T) and Lighting, Research & Technology Journal (LR&T). CIBSE members can now benefit from free online access to BSER&T, while Society of Light and Lighting members (SLL), a CIBSE society, can view copies of LR&T. Together, the two journals will reach more than 20,000 members.
The agreement coincides with CIBSE renewing their journals contracts with SAGE in January 2009. In addition to current content, members will also have access to the full archive of each journal - 40 years of publications for LR&T and 30 years for BSER&T.
BSER&T publishes original research relevant to today's Built Environment. It covers the full range of energy and environmental services in buildings. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical services and water supply.
LR&T publishes papers on all aspects of the subject of light and lighting ranging from the human response to light, to all aspects of the science of light generation, light control and measurement.
