Academic publisher SAGE has announced a new partnership with The Katie Piper Foundation to launch the unique journal Scars, Burns & Healing. The journal brings together the specialist focus of scar and burns research with the breadth of the science and medicine related to wound healing, and will be accepting its first submissions from summer 2015.
A multi-disciplinary, open-access (OA) journal, Scars, Burns & Healing is a platform for research relevant to all clinical specialties related to scar and burn care, and all scientific disciplines from genetics and immunology, to nanotechnology and tissue engineering, associated with wound healing.
Kayvan Shokrollahi, Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Service, Whiston Hospital, Liverpool, will serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
