Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced the acquisition of Global Village Publishing (GVPi), a software and services provider specialising in the delivery of customised digital publishing solutions.
According to John Shaw, Vice President of Publishing Technologies, this acquisition provides SAGE with talented development resources, great technology, and the capacity to fuel its aggressive growth plans across their digital products and offerings.
GVPi has been the driving force behind the development of SAGE's award-winning products for its College, Library, and Professional markets, including SAGE Knowledge, SAGE Research Methods, SAGE Video, and SAGE Stats. Kevin Muha, Michael Sisolak, CTO, and the entire GVPI development team will join SAGE to continue the development of SAGE's digital products.
