Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced the translated publication of the first three of the eight volume collection: The Qualitative Research Kit Collection, with Japanese publishers Shinyosha.
Following SAGE's partnership with Shinyosha to co-publish social science textbooks in the Japanese language, these three titles produced and translated by academics in Japan are the first in the collection to be completed. The aim of the partnership is to address the lack of social science texts available in Japanese, responding to the increasing demand of students and researchers in the region.
The three texts being published are: Designing Qualitative Research, translated by Suzuki Satoshi, Tokyo University of Agriculture; Doing Interviews, translated by Nochi Masahiro, Tokyo University & Tokuda Haruko, Takachiho University; and Doing Ethnographic and Observational Research, translated by Shibayama Makoto, Ostsuma Women's University.
