SAGE set to publish American Sociological Association’s Sociological Theory and Sociological Methodology journals -

Acadomic publisher SAGE has announced that it will continue its partnership with the American Sociological Association (ASA) by publishing two of the latter’s titles - Sociological Theory (ST) and Sociological Methodology (SM) - beginning in 2012. With the addition of these titles, SAGE now publishes 10 journals in collaboration with ASA.

Sociological Theory covers the full range of sociological theory including ethnomethodology, world systems analysis, commentaries on classics, and cutting-edge ideas. Its themes and contributions are interdisciplinary, and its orientation pluralistic. Sociological Methodology is a collection of new and sometimes controversial advances in social science methodology. Contributions come from diverse areas and include a wide range of topics.

The American Sociological Association is a non-profit membership association, dedicated to advancing sociology as a scientific discipline and profession serving the public good. Founded in 1905, ASA has nearly 15,000 members, including college and university faculty, and researchers at public institutions and in the private sector. Its members participate in 47 special interest sections and its journals are among the best in the field. Joining the SAGE journal family means that the journals will be available through SAGE Journals Online, SAGE’s award-winning online journal delivery platform, in February, 2012.

The ASA journals, as well as other SAGE journals and textbooks, will be on display in the SAGE booth at the American Sociological Association Annual Meeting, scheduled for August 20-23 in Las Vegas, NV.
