SAGE set to publish official journal of the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology -

Academic publisher SAGE has announced that it has been chosen by the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology to publish its journal, the Journal of Applied Social Science (JASS), beginning in Spring 2012. The journal was previously published by Paradigm Publishers.

JASS articles encapsulate more than 25 years of work from the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology and its predecessor organisations, the Society for Applied Sociology and the Sociological Practice Association. The journal is the direct compilation and successor of two previously published journals: The Journal of Applied Sociology and Sociological Practice: A Journal of Applied and Clinical Sociology. JASS was previously published by Paradigm Publishers.

The journal supports the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology's mission to clearly apply social science and critically reflect on the application of social science. JASS actively recruits articles that help demonstrate application-oriented research, reflect on the process of applying social science knowledge, and illustrate effective teaching practices of applied social science. Joining the SAGE journal family means that the journal will be available through SAGE Journals Online and authors will be able to submit articles for review through SAGE Track.
