Academic publisher SAGE recently purchased two journals long published by Harvey Whitney Books Company - The Annals of Pharmacotherapy and The Journal of Pharmacy Technology. SAGE will begin publishing the journals in September 2013.
Since its launch more than 45 years ago, The Annals of Pharmacotherapy has been pivotal in the creation of clinical pharmacy as a discipline and has been a mainstay in drug therapy ever since. The articles published in the journal help to educate practitioners, students, clinical pharmacologists, and others interested in drug action and reaction as they seek to improve treatment options for patients.
The Journal of Pharmacy Technology was launched in 1985 as a peer-reviewed outlet for in-depth information relevant to pharmacy practice and has served both pharmacists and technicians by publishing research and reviews that help them progress in their careers.
Dr. Milap C. Nahata, and Eugene M. Sorkin will continue to serve as Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor of The Annals of Pharmacotherapy.
Harvey AK Whitney, Jr., a clinical practitioner and educator in the field of pharmacy, assumed the roles of editor and publisher of The Annals of Pharmacotherapy in 1978 and has been a passionate advocate for the discipline of Pharmacotherapy ever since.
