The Saint Louis University–Madrid library has broadened its research support by adding access to APA PsycTests, a database developed by the American Psychological Association. The resource provides thousands of psychological assessments, surveys, scales, and other instruments used in psychology, education, behavioral sciences, and related fields. Both published and unpublished tools are included, enabling researchers to identify validated measures for academic projects, theses, dissertations, and scholarly studies.
Users can explore diverse assessment types such as personality inventories, cognitive and neuropsychological tests, educational evaluations, clinical and mental health measures, developmental scales, and research surveys. Many entries contain details on a test’s purpose, target population, administration procedures, reliability, validity, and references to studies where the instrument has been applied.
APA PsycTests is available through the SLU Libraries electronic databases and can be accessed via the SLU–Madrid library website alongside other academic resources. Library staff are available to assist students, faculty, and researchers in locating appropriate assessments and making effective use of the database.
In addition to APA PsycTests, the library continues to provide access to Open Journal Finder, a tool that helps researchers identify journals aligned with their field of study and publishing objectives. The resource allows users to search by subject, compare publishing options, and explore open access opportunities when preparing manuscripts. Faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates can use it to identify potential publication venues.
The library also offers guidance on journal selection, open access publishing, and other aspects of the research process, reinforcing its commitment to supporting scholarship across the SLU–Madrid community. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to explore these resources and take advantage of the support available throughout all stages of academic work.
