Information services provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced a new partnership between ScholarOne and SciVee, a provider of rich media solutions to the scientific, technical and medical market. ScholarOne is Thomson Reuters’ industry-leading peer review workflow management solution.
The partnership between ScholarOne and SciVee will give users of ScholarOne Abstracts (formerly Abstract Central) the ability to capture live meeting content and share this content post-event using one source. From a scholarly standpoint, users can augment their meetings or conferences with fluid, multimedia content. As a business tool, this application increases post-event revenue opportunities.
ScholarOne Abstracts is a web-based workflow solution that provides meeting organisers with a secure, complete, cost-effective workflow solution for abstract submission, peer review, programme creation, publishing output and administrative control.
SciVee was launched in late 2007 as a joint initiative between the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California, San Diego. It provides Internet video and rich media web products and services for institutions and individual researchers to help the advancement of scientific knowledge.
