SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, has announced a Read and Publish agreement with Israel's Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The agreement, which began on January 1, adds unlimited, open-access publishing in SPIE journals to the SPIE Digital Library subscription. Qualifying authors may publish in SPIE journals with no article-processing fees. The SPIE Digital Library comprises more than 550,000 publications covering topical areas ranging from biomedical optics and neuroscience to physics and astronomy-related technology.
According to SPIE International Sales and Subscriptions Manager Andy Wallis, this partnership will give affiliated authors a direct path to open access and greater visibility for their work.
