SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, has announced a three-year ‘Read and Publish’ agreement with the German National Library of Science and Technology.
The new agreement began on January 1, 2021. It incorporates read access to all SPIE journals and proceedings in the SPIE Digital Library that comprises more than 530,000 publications covering topical areas ranging from biomedical optics and neuroscience to physics and astronomy-related technology. In addition, the agreement includes unlimited, open-access publishing in SPIE journals with no article-processing fees for affiliated authors.
The agreement was negotiated by Standards and More (SAM) on behalf of SPIE. SAM is the exclusive agent of the SPIE Digital Library in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
