Springer and Brazilian Physical Society announce publishing partnership -

STM publisher Springer has announced a publishing partnership with the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF). Under the deal, Springer will publish the society's official publication, the Brazilian Journal of Physics, beginning in 2011. Antonio Sergio Teixeira Pires of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, serves as editor-in-chief of the journal.

Founded in 1971, the Brazilian Journal of Physics is a peer-reviewed international journal, which publishes new and original research results from all areas of physics. Content include theoretical, practical and experimental papers as well as high-quality review papers. Besides four regular issues per year, the journal also presents special reviews focusing on hot topics which are particularly relevant in Brazil.

The Brazilian Journal of Physics presents cutting-edge research on many topics in physics from scientists based in Brazil and around the world. Authors submitting papers to the journal will benefit from the international network of reviewers established by the Brazilian Physical Society. In addition to Springer's global dissemination via SpringerLink, the journal is currently distributed to more than 6,000 members of the Brazilian Physical Society.
